Kate Lambert is an actor, improviser, and writer currently living in Chicago, Illinois. For her undergraduate degree, Kate attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. While there, she was nominated for an Irene Ryan Award for excellence in acting and received the departmental award for Best Actress.

Kate studied abroad in London through Boston University and took a class under Michael Billington, Britain's longest serving theatre critic, head theatre critic for The Guardian, and renowned Harold Pinter biographer. She graduated with her B.A. in Theatre. After graduation, Kate moved back to Chicago where she has taken many improv and acting classes including European Repertory's Chekhov Master Class and Solo Improvisation. She is a graduate of Second City's Improv Conservatory and Musical Improv Program and iO's (formerly Improv Olympic) improvisation program.

She is a cast member of The Second City Touring Company and an understudy for The Second City’s Mainstage revue, Let Them Eat Chaos. She has performed as an understudy on The Second City's e.t.c. Stage and at The Second City's UP Comedy Club. Kate previously toured with The Second City aboard Norwegian Cruise Line. She has written and acted in viral shorts that have been featured on such sites as The Huffington Post, MoveOn.Org, MTV, Cosmopolitan, Perez Hilton, Feministing, LaughSpin, and Italy's Vanity Fair. In addition, she is an actor, writer, and executive producer for the popular web series, TEACHERS, for which she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at The Gold Coast Film Festival. She also does voice over work.

Kate is a member of the improv/sketch group The Katydids and the sketch group Cell Camp. She performs improv at iO with The Armando Diaz Experience and Virgin Daiquiri and guest improvises with Whirled News Tonight and The Deltones. She has performed at various festivals and theatres across the country including La Jolla Playhouse in La Jolla, CA; iO West in Los Angeles, CA; and The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in NYC.
